Hi, I’m Mike Little

I am the co-founder of WordPress, the website building software that powers more than 43% of domains on the web. I am a software developer by habit. I work as a developer advocate for Altis Cloud by Human Made.
You will find me passionate about what I do and the projects I work on. I have had a lifelong interest in free and open-source software.

Speaker and Author

I am a published author. In 2005, I co-authored “Building Online Communities With Drupal, PhpBB, and WordPress“. I wrote the WordPress section of the book. I am also a technical editor and have worked on several technical books for Wiley and Sons and other publishers.
I have been a regular speaker at WordPress and tech conferences.

Zed1 Limited

As a sideline, I also run my old company, Zed1.com Limited. At Zed1 I provide development, hosting, and consultancy services.

Stoic, Humanist, Lifelong Learner

I am a follower of Stoicism, embracing the philosophy of inner peace, resilience, and virtue by focusing on what I can control and accepting what I cannot. As a humanist, I value reason, empathy, and the potential for human progress, I believe in compassion for everyone and strive to improve the well-being of all people through ethical and rational means.
I am a lifelong learner, constantly seeking new knowledge and experiences to grow intellectually, personally, and professionally throughout my life.
